I Pass on Grass

I read a really interesting article in Natural Home & Garden  under 'Cutting the Grass.'  I am not willing to put chemicals on the yard to control the weeds so this appealed to me.  I started digging and transplanting things that grow great in our climate and am excited to watch it fill in and bloom. I have chives, vinca, hydrangea, moss rose and  many others that are hardy and finished by mulching it with pine needles from around our house!  It was a fun labor of love that I enjoy walking through daily!  Getting rid of grass also makes me think of this song...  Don't you love the guy in the neighborhood who mows everyday?  Yeah, me neither.
